Middle Dean

Dean Clough is approximately two and a half miles long and divided into three distinct and roughly equal sections. The upper valley is occupied by the reservoir in the middle section the stream flows through farm land and the lower valley is covered by the trees of Dean Wood.

Flat topped Bowley and Pendle in the distance
The flat topped hill is Bowley but even through the heat haze Pendle Hill dominates.

Looking north west from the southern end of Goldacre Lane, which runs across the valley, to the east of the reservoir

and north east. Bowley is on the right.

Looking east into Yorkshire. Urgh
One of those cameras that take panoramic photos is needed.

It may look relatively flat but the brook flows in a steep sided valley between the viewer and the white houses.
