GREAT HARWOODOpen spaces / Memorial Park / Garden of Remembrance / Sports Field - Church Lane - Allsprings Drive - Brantfell Road / Bottom Rec. / Lowerfold Park Norden Valley Recreation Area
The railway reached Great Harwood, a little late, in 1877 and the last scheduled train left in November 1957. Freight and excursion trains continued to use the line but eventually, during the 1960s, the track was ripped up and the cutting filled in.
At the northern end of the recreation area is a new industrial park where the yards and station used to be and beyond that the line has become a nature trail.

The cutting in which the railway ran was gradually filled in to make a vehicle free corridor along the south eastern side of the town.
At the southern end the pathway runs out over Tottleworth railway bridge into the countryside and on to Cut Lane, Rishton.
