GREAT HARWOODSurroundings / Dean Reservoir / Dean Clough / Dean Lane / Great Harwood Moor / From the Moor Middle DeanDean Clough is approximately two and a half miles long and divided into three distinct and roughly equal sections. The upper valley is occupied by the reservoir in the middle section the stream flows through farm land and the lower valley is covered by the trees of Dean Wood.
Looking north west from the southern end of Goldacre Lane, which runs across the valley, to the east of the reservoir and north east. Bowley is on the right.
It may look relatively flat but the brook flows in a steep sided valley between the viewer and the white houses.
